		<description>I agree.  Manners should be taught in stages.  A child doesn&#039;t have the physical coordination to hold the fork properly, but eventually gains it. Most important is the modeling of the proper manners.  I remember being out with my father at a restaurant and his showing me how to cool soup--not by blowing on it but by lifting up it up by the spoonful and returning it to the soup. Kids can feel very grown up learning (and practicing!) things like that--
